Policies and General Information
General Grading Policy:
I strictly adhere to the University Grading Policy, and the University’s definition of individual letter grades. In addition, as a general rule I never give extra-credit assignments, and I usually don’t grade on a curve. On each course syllabi, you’ll find the percentage value for each assignment. Subsequently, it is from these scores that your final mark is tabulated, I don’t skew the numbers in anyway, and, again I don’t grade on a curve; I simply add straight across to determine the final grade.
I use the traditional grading rubric:
Percentage |
Grade Range (+, -, neither + or -) |
100-90% |
A |
89-80% |
B |
79-70% |
C |
69-60% |
D |
59-0% |
F |
If you have any questions about your overall class grade, a grade on a particular assignment, you are encouraged to talk to the instructor promptly.
